The ELSA program provides basic and intermediate level English training for adults in Canada. ELSA is government funded and free of charge to eligible students. We provide learners with concrete skills as well as general knowledge and coping skills. ELSA classes are offered to all permanent residents, refugees and naturalised citizens in Canada. Childcare is offered on-site for children of ELSA students.
This beginner's ESL class meet Monday to Thursday throughout the year. Learners are welcome to join the class at any time. The class accommodates from a literacy level to upper beginners. Students practice the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing while learning about the community and Canadian Society.
This Intermediate class helps learners improve their level of English aiding in the process of job searches, community participation and self esteem. Students practice the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing while preparing for improvements in employment and life situations. An optional practicum is available after the levels are completed.
