The ELSA program provides basic and intermediate level English training for adults in Canada. ELSA is government funded and free of charge to eligible students. We provide learners with concrete skills as well as general knowledge and coping skills.
What are the elsa levels?
ELSA goes from Level 1 (Low Beginner) to Level 5 (High Intermediate). After you apply for ELSA, you will be given an appointment for an English Assessment to which level you are in.
What classes are offered at VDISS
At VDISS, we are pleased to offer the following mixed-level classes with continuous intake:
ELSA 1-3 - Beginner Classes
ELSA 4/5 - Intermediate Classes with optional Labour Market Focus classes to follow
Who can study with ELSA?
ELSA classes are offered to all permanent residents, refugees and naturalised citizens in Canada.
What can I do about chilDcare?
Childcare is offered on-site for children of ELSA students.
